Subject:  Free Field Hockey Trial

We wanted to let you know that there will be a "Try it Free" Day for Field Hockey on June 23rd at the Coronation School field for kids ages 5-16. North Glenora Community League, in partnership with the Green & Gold Field Hockey Club and Field Hockey Alberta, will provide an afternoon introductory lesson for kids. It will be taught by former (and current) players & coaches from the U of A Pandas, the Canadian National Women's Field Hockey Team and the USA Men's National Team.

We have an opportunity to show our neighbours how much we appreciate their efforts to beautify the community.  Nominations are now open for 2013 and we need you! Please nominate your favourite yard in your neighborhood including edible frontyards! Other categories include: natural and just plain pretty front yards.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with set up, clean up, helping in the kitchen, and other jobs.  Please call Arlene at (780) 481-4420 if you would like to volunteer.

Casino funding makes up a significant portion of the revenue required to keep our community hall operational.  Our casino dates have been set for September 12 (Thursday) and 13 (Friday).  We need as many volunteers as possible to come out and participate.  Your volunteer time is essential to the success of this event.  As a bonus, you will get to know some of your neighbours better and catch up with those you have not seen for a while.  Please leave a message for-Arlene by phone at (780) 481-4420, or e-mail ahuhn@telusplanet.net
