WOODCROFT PLAYGROUND AND AREA

Originally, the Woodcroft Playground was scheduled to be built in spring of 2010.  The City of Edmonton had a large number of applicants for not only playgrounds but also arena’s so we were moved to 2011, where we are guaranteed to be built as long as we have our funding in place.  We have applied to the Provincial Government for funding as well as the City of Edmonton.  We continue to raise funds within our community as well.

The proposal that we have submitted is redoing the older children’s play area, adding to the younger children’s play area and adding a spray park to the area where we currently have a wading pool.  As well, we would like to include a portable basketball net into the play area.  We are also looking at adding more benches, tables and a shelter.  For the adults, we would like to add some raised community garden beds.
