COMMUNITY SWIM TIME ACCESS INFORMATION
NOV 12 2012

Woodcroft residents attempting to take advantage of our free community swim times at the Peter Hemmingway Pool may have experienced some problems gaining admission.  The following process has now been implemented to ensure that our residents will have easy access to the pool during the public swim times on Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons:

  • Initial registration at the pool will be required. It is advisable that all of the family members included under your community league membership visit the pool’s cashier at the same time. The cashier will issue a picture ID Recreation Centre Pass for each family member.  Once the pass(es) has (have) been issued, you will no longer be required to show you Community League Membership Card.
  • Your passes will be valid from September 1, 2012 to August 31, 2013.

SKATING LESSONS

Woodcroft Community League will be offering skating lessons in the New Year.  There is a basic Learn to Skate program as well as another to help young skaters who already have the basics to futher develop their skills.  We will have an official Skate Canada CanSkate instructor and a figure skating/power skating instructor offering the lessons (please note, this will not be an offcial Skate Canada sanctioned CanSkate program).  All lessons are to take place at the Woodcroft Community Hall - outdoor ice rink.
